An intriguing perspective on several modern and historical things (from animals to products to specific art to events) by an author that wants to express his rating of these things and express the current influences we are having on this world.
So reading this did not enlighten me because I was familiar with these topics. However, looking at them through the eyes of someone with different life experiences broadened my viewpoint a bit more. I found this work to be more influential in a reflective manner than in a manner of science and history. John Green is an easy person to connect with, at least for me. He made me care about his experiences and the viewpoints he shared in this book. Since this was the first book of his I read, I look forward to reading more of his books and experience what he has to share.
